ASHTABULA COUNTY -- The Ashtabula County Emergency Management Agency says it fielded between six and 12 calls this morning from people who say they felt a small earthquake.
The calls regarding the tremor came in around 9:45 a.m.
Officials in Ashtabula sent the info along to the Ohio Seismic Network for further investigation.
There were no reports of any injuries or damage.
Earthquakes and tremors are not uncommon in northeast Ohio especially along the lake shore.
On February 14, 2009 a 2.6 quake was measured in the same area. The U.S. Geological Survey determined the quake was centered approximately 20 miles west of Ashtabula.
