SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- Fire officials in Summit County's Springfield Township suspect the cause of a house fire Monday night was due to lightning.
According to the Springfield Township fire department, a call came in shortly before 11 p.m. for a fire at a duplex home which housed two families. Storms were moving through Northeast Ohio last night. Fire officials say lightning was spotted in the area around the time the house caught fire. No injuries were reported.
