CLEVELAND -- One of Cleveland's Kentucky Fried Chicken locations is shutting down, but only for a day.
The KFC at 2930 Carnegie Avenue will close tomorrow to convert into a "World Hunger Relief Kitchen" during the lunch rush.
Residents from the Community Women's Shelter will be served free Kentucky Grilled Chicken Meals by Lake Erie Monsters players and mascot "Sully" and the restaurant employees. Radio Disney will also be on hand to give children who attend, donated Disney items. State Senator Shirley Smith is also scheduled to attend and lend her support.
While KFC feeds the hungry every day, closing restaurants is a bold step in helping to raise money and awareness for World Hunger Relief.
The Cleveland location is one of several across the country closing tomorrow for Global World Hunger Relief Initiative.
