CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians introduced their new manager, Manny Acta, at a news conference late Monday afternoon.
Acta, 40, is the 40th manager in the club's history.
An Indians spokesman says Acta has signed a three year contract with a club option for 2013.
He managed the Washington Nationals this past season but was fired on July 13. His overall record was 158-252.
The Indians also interviewed Bobby Valentine and Torey Lovullo last week to replace Eric Wedge.
