PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP--The funeral service for 22-year-old U.S. Marine Lance Corporal David Raymond Baker will at Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville Saturday, October 31, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetary in Virginia. Calling hours will be Friday, October 30, 2 to 8 p.m., at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd. in Eastlake.
Baker was killed Tuesday by an Improvised Explosive Device in Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan.
He enlisted in the Marine Corps shortly after graduation from Painesville Riverside High School.
Baker was assigned to the First Battalion, Fifth Marine Regiment, and was serving his first tour of duty in Afghanistan.
