FAIRPORT HARBOR -- Do you believe in ghosts? Northeast Ohio has some great haunts for ghost hunters.

A favorite spot for those who believe in paranormal activity is the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse.

There are many ghost stories that stem from this site, but one that is told often is of a ghost cat, that haunts the grounds.

The cat once belonged to the former keeper of the lighthouse back in 1871. Years later, when the Trustees went to install air conditioning, the mummified remains of the cat were found in a crawl space. The remains still on display at the museum and over the years, many have reported seeing the ghost of the cat walking the grounds.

On the eve of Halloween, the principal of Harding High School, fulfilling a promise to his students, decided to spend the night in the haunted lighthouse. It was a reward for the students who raised money for the United Way.
