TWINSBURG -- The Summit County Bomb Squad was called to a BP station here after police arrested a nude man who indicated that explosives might be in a vehicle.
At approximately 1:24 p.m. Thursday, police received a call on a man who came out of the bathroom at the BP station on state Route 82 near I-480 naked and mumbling.
When officers arrived, a scuffle broke out and a taser was used. The scuffle went out into the parking lot, where police say the man was restrained.
According to police, the man made some utterances before and after the struggle that indicated there might be explosives in a vehicle.
The Summit County Bomb Squad responded and removed two suspicious packages from the vehicle.
Police say the packages were checked and found to have no explosive materials.
After the scuffle, the man was taken to Bedford Hospital for evaluation. A Twinsburg police officer was also taken to the hospital for a hand injury.
