North Olmsted Police arrest 2 in car dealerships' vandalism

North Olmsted Police have arrested a North Olmsted man and a North Olmsted teen for allegedly vandalizing 31 vehicles at three car dealerships between 6 p.m. April 21 and 7:20 a.m.  April 22.

Police say they were called out at 7:30 a.m. April 22 for vandalism done to multiple vehicles at Cleveland Motorsports at  28300 Lorain Road, Porsche of North Olmsted at  28400 Lorain Road and Mercedes-Benz of North Olmsted at 28450 Lorain Road.

Police say that, in all, 31 vehicles were vandalized and the damage estimate is $100,000. Police state in their report that most of the damage was from the vehicles being "keyed," some with deeper scratches than others.

Police say they continued to investigate and, with help from owner Bernie Merino and his staff, they were able to develop suspects.

On May 8, with the help of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau and the Rocky River Police Department , police say they executed a search warrant and arrested two people.

Police say Wisam H. Ayyad, 19, of North Olmsted and a boy, 17, also of North Olmsted. Ayyad was charged with felony vandalism the teen was also charged with vandalism in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
