In a WKYC report Monday night, Reporter Lynna Lai said the search for a missing East Cleveland teen took a troubling turn, after the mother of 15-year old Chaday Lentes received disturbing text messages last weekend.

Lakeya Williams says the messages came from her daughter's cell phone. They read,"I killed yo baby b--ch. Thats y she not comein back."

Lentes disappeared May 30, last seen leaving her East Cleveland home for a friend's house, but she never arrived there. She's described as African-American, about 5'2" tall, weighing 168 pounds, with light brown complexion, and shoulder-length brown hair.

Williams is frustrated with what she sees, is a lack of response and action from the East Cleveland Police Department.

However, the financially strapped department is currently handling 19 missing persons cases as of June 1, down from 79 cases in March. Lentes' family passed out flyers and held a rally in the area of East 30th Street and Central Ave. in Cleveland, where the family says the teen may have been seen.
