In light of Hurricane Harvey the historic flooding that hit Texas over the weekend, Ohio attorney general Mike DeWine is offering tips for providing charitable donations to the victims and relief in the Lone Star State.
“We encourage people to be generous in helping those affected by the devastating floods in Texas,” DeWine said in a statement. “We also encourage people to make sure their donations go to legitimate causes, not scammers. A little bit of research can go a long way to avoid being taken advantage of when helping those in need.”
