One dead, two injured in I-480 accident

CLEVELAND, OHIO - One person is dead and two others injured following an accident on I-480 westbound near State Road Saturday evening. 

The Ohio State Highway Patrol say that two people were changing a tire on the right berm before they were struck by a pick-up truck that drifted off the side of the highway. 

The two victims were thrown to the front of the disabled vehicle.
Clark R, Justen, 48, of Brunswick, was identified as the driver of the pick-up. He was treated at the scene and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for evaluation.
Troopers say drugged driving is suspected to be a factor in this crash.
Tanisha Matthews, 27, of Cleveland, was pronounced dead at the scene. 
Asiah Matthews, 23, of Maple Heights,  was taken by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition.

The right two lanes of I-480 were closed for approximately 2 hours.

Cleveland Police Department, Parma Police Department, Cleveland Fire Department, Cleveland EMS, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Officer, and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted on the scene.
