AKRON -- According to Akron Police and the U.S. Marshals' office, Kenneth Lindsey, 28, of Akron, turned himself in to detectives shortly after noon Monday with his attorney Doc Walker.
Police and the U.S. Marshal's Office said Lindsey was wanted by both the U.S. Marshals and the Akron Police for murder.
Lindsey allegedly shot a man in the chest following a verbal altercation. The murder took place near the 700 block of Pine Knolls Drive in Akron.
Police say that, about 6:45 a.m. April 19, Lindsey was involved in a verbal argument outside of his apartment with Reginald Edwards, 32, of Akron.
Police say that Lindsey allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired a shot, striking Edwards in the chest. Lindsey then drove off from the apartment complex in a 2005 Chevy Impala.
