Man, 34, and boy, 6 dead in Portage crash

RAVENNA TOWNSHIP, OHIO - The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate a fatal three-vehicle crash that happened just after 6 p.m. Saturday on state Route 14.

Troopers say a military Humvee being driven southeast-bound by Jeremy R. Taylor, 20, of University Heights, drove left of center, sideswiping a northwest-bound 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Lisa M. Mancini, 48, of Ravenna Township.

The Humvee then struck a northwest-bound 201 5 Kia sedan head-on, troopers said.

The two occupants of the Kia sedan, driver Bryan M. Bargar, 34, and passenger, Wyatt Bentley, 6, of Berea Township, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Taylor and the two passengers of the Humvee were taken to University Hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
