Rocky River Police: Cleveland woman safe after morning kidnapping

ROCKY RIVER - According to a Ready Notify Alert from the Rocky River Police, a Cleveland woman who had been kidnapped Sunday morning is safe.

Police say that about 11 a.m. Sunday, the Rocky River Police Department took a call reporting a kidnapping on Detroit Road near Linda Street.

Police say the caller provided a good description of the vehicle involved and its occupants. Within minutes, Rocky River Police located and stopped the vehicle, ensured the safety of the victim, and made three arrests, according to Ready Notify.

Police say they determined that the victim, a Cleveland woman, 26, knew and had a prior relationship with the suspects, that they were having a dispute over property, and that illegal drugs were involved. A handgun and other contraband were also recovered.

Three adults from Parma and Parma Heights have been arrested as a result, police said.

They are Theodore F. Turay, 30, of Parma, John W. Mann, 64, of Parma Heights and Regina M. Capobianco, 48, of Parma Heights.

Police assured residents that there is no reason to believe that there is a continued or ongoing threat to public safety as a result of this incident.
