Solon man sentenced to 34 years in Gates Mills home invasion

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Carolyn Friedland sentenced Shaun P. Corrigan to 34 years in prison today for a Jan. 6 Gates Mills home invasion, according to the court docket.

Friedland sentenced Corrigan, 38, of Solon, to 34 years in prison after he had pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and kidnapping in the Jan. 6 home invasion, court documents revealed.

Investigators said he entered the home on Jan. 6 posing a a delivery man and the woman who lived there was working in her home office. According to investigators, he bound her with duct tape and stole cash, jewelry and watch.

He was arrested Jan. 17.

Corrigan was sentenced to the Lorain Correctional Institution and post-release control will be mandatory.
