PERRY TOWNSHIP -- A woman is dead after being ejected from a motorcycle involved in a crash with a semi truck.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash that happened on U.S. 30 East near mile marker 9 around 5:00 a.m Saturday.
Investigators say a semi-truck driver struck a motorcycle that was carrying two passengers.
Stephen Young, 34, and Christina Barkett, 34, were both thrown from the motorcycle. Young was seriously injured and taken to Aultman Hospital for treatment. Barkett died at the hospital from her injuries.
The driver of the semi truck, Joseph Hardman, 45, was not injured.
Alcohol doesn't appear to have played a role in the accident. The crash is under investigation.
