A group of Cuyahoga Community College students will do a soft launch today of the Central Community Co-op.
The Central Community Co-op will provide residents with fresh fruits and vegetables, use of Tri-C's recreation Center and access to free nutritional education classes.
The students got involved first by enrolling in a Special Topics class at Tri-C. After doing research for the class, the students determined there was a strong need for healthier food options in the Central Community.
Today's launch is a soft launch of the program, which students hope to expand in the coming months.
