Officials say an Elyria man died Thursday evening in a car crash on SR 302.
Scott Mussell, 31, veered into the left lane while going around a curve on his Honda motorcycle, hitting a Chevy Traverse head-on just before 8 p.m.
Mussell was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Ashland where he was pronounced dead. Mussell was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver and passenger of the Traverse suffered minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.
According to highway patrol, alcohol was likely a factor in the crash.
