CHARDON -- Teachers and staff members are being praised tonight for stepping in to help protect students during the Chardon High School shooting.
Teachers locked their classrooms as they had been trained to do in lockdown drills as students took cover.
One teacher grabbed an injured student and pulled them into a classroom for protection.

Another teacher, identified as Frank Hall, is being credited for chasing the alleged gunman, TJ Lane, out of the school building.
Two students died in the shootings. Three were injured. Lane is currently in custody.
