Akron Police: Murder warrant issued for morning killing

Akron detectives continue to investigate an early morning homicide that left one man dead.

Akron Police say it happened just before 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Pine Knolls Drive.  Police say the victim, an Akron man, 32 was found in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police say he was taken to Akron City Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Akron Police say their detectives signed a murder warrant for Kenneth Lindsey, 32, of Akron. 

Lindsey stands 5’6” tall, weighs 175 pounds, has black braided hair and brown eyes, according to the police description. Police say he was last seen in a silver 2005 Chevy Impala bearing Ohio license plate GTJ5599.

Police caution that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police ask that anyone with information on Kenneth Lindsey’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at (330) 375-2490; the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-866-4-WANTED; or the Summit County Crimestoppers, Inc. at (330) 434-COPS.
