HUDSON - The case of a Hudson police officer shooting an unarmed Case Western grad student, is now in the hands of the Ohio Attorney General.
Investigators say Saif Alameri, a 26-year-old law student from the United Arab Emirates, ran away after flipping his car on the turnpike back in December.
Police shot him during an alleged struggle. It's still not clear why he ran off.
State special prosecutors could request a follow-up investigation before taking the case to a grand jury.
There's no timetable on how soon the case will move forward.
