Toby Keith helping reshape the Flats

CLEVELAND -- Phase I is done, but there's a lot more on the horizon.

The next and final step in the Flats project will be create a lakeshore space unlike anything ever seen in Cleveland.

"Young or old, married or single, you're here for work, you're here for play, this project has it all," Brice Hamill, director of design for Fairmount Properties says.

Some will call it home as Phase II will feature the addition of 243 residential units.

Others will come for the food.

The most anticipated restaurant is the addition of Toby Keith's new restaurant.

"There will be live country music three or four nights a week," Hamill says.

Need more?

"We're going to open a 1,200 square foot outdoor boardwalk."

Hamill says this will provide more people the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful waterfront.

And right along with these new developments, an old friend will be returning.

"We're going to bring back the water taxi," Hamill says.

Throughout the next 18 months, Phase II will wrap up.

Work has started with the largest building of the bunch -- residential.

"Right now, Phase I is the heart, but when Phase II is done, this whole community becomes a really beautiful place for downtown Cleveland."
