Tri-C student killed in turnpike pileup

CLEVELAND -- Hannah Matheny was a budding photographer who loved making videos.

She posted dozens on YouTube and attracted more than 1,000 subscribers.

Friends like "Kol-bae" on Twitter say "Hannah was so beautiful, unique and talented."

But on Wednesday afternoon, Hannah's future was cut tragically short when the car she was riding in got tangled in a pileup on the turnpike in Sandusky County.

"V" writes, "Hannah was such a talented and awesome person. It's so sad to see someone go away before it's time."

Nora writes, "RIP Hannah. The world is definitely worse without you."

Hannah graduated from Cloverleaf Schools in Medina County.

Superintendent Darly Kubilus said in a statement, "The entire Cloverleaf community is deeply saddened to learn of the loss of 2012 graduate Hannah Matheny. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends during this most difficult time."

After graduating, Hannah joined Cuyahoga Community College as a visual communications and design major.

When she wasn't at school, she was working at Save-A-Lot in Cleveland.

Coworkers described her as a sweetheart.

As they deal with the loss of Hannah, her memory lives on in her videos.
