Woman arrested for striking, killing motorcyclist

Police arrested a woman, 25, for aggravated vehicular homicide after she turned her 2002 Mitsubishi Galant into the path of a motorcycle, killing the motorcyclist.

Police say that, early Monday night, Shantina J. Reed, 25, was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant westbound on U.S. 422 (Kinsman Road) recklessly while under the influence.

Police say that reed failed to yield to oncoming traffic, turning left at the intersection of East 73rd Street , causing a 1995 Suzuki GSXR 1100 motorcycle that was being driven by John Stoudermire Jr., 52, of Cleveland, to collide with the right side of the 2002 Mitsubishi Galant.

Stoudemire was dead at the scene. Police arrested Reed and police say toxicology reports are pending.
