Indianapolis police destroyed 25 marijuana plants found growing at a north-side elementary school.
The plants, discovered Monday, were growing in a small cluster on the grounds of Greenbriar Elementary School, 8201 N. Ditch Road, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report.
Police were called to the school about 10:40 p.m. in response to an exit alarm. Officers walked around the building and discovered 25 small marijuana plants.
Narcotics detectives arrived and the plants were removed and taken to the property room for disposal, the report said.
Washington Township Schools confirmed the discovery in a statement emailed to IndyStar.
The pot plants did not appear to be cultivated, the school district said.
