It's the universe like you've never seen it before.
NASA combined 10 years of Hubble space telescope pictures to create a new, improved portrait of mankind's deepest-ever view of the universe.
The extreme deep field, or XDF, is a combination of photos taken of a patch of sky at the center of the original Hubble ultra deep field.
The XDF contains approximately 5,500 galaxies, the faintest of which are one 10-billionith the brightness of what the human eye can see.
It's even more sensitive than the Hubble ultra deep field.
