Space fantasy meets reality on the next shuttle flight.
As part of the "Star Wars"' 30th anniversary celebration, NASA has agreed to carry Luke Skywalker's original Jedi light saber on board Space Shuttle Discovery when it launches in October.
The light saber was handed over to the space agency by Chewbacca at the Oakland Airport on Tuesday.
That?s not far from George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch.
The priceless piece was greeted in Houston by a group of Stormtroopers and other Star War characters.
