BEACHWOOD -- Parenting magazines are very popular, but they are geared toward parents of younger children and babies.

Now, 10 local moms have created a magazine for parents of teenagers. It's called "Your Teen."

"We've been talking about it for a long time, and just decided to go ahead and try it," says Susan Borison, publisher and Editor-in-Chief.

It is a quarterly magazine, and the first issue went out in the fall. The next issue is due out next week at Joseph-Beth and Barnes Noble bookstores.

Circulation is around 20,000 and you can also subscribe on the magazine's website.

"Since we are all moms, we can pull from our own experience," says Stephanie Silverman, publisher and managing editor.

They are dealing with topics such as: teen driving, sexuality and social media. Many local pediatricians also contribute and give advice to readers.

This is also in collaboration with Social Advocates for Youth and Parent to Parent Network.
