
GARDENA, CA -- Z. Gallerie says it will close 25 underperforming stores nationwide in response to what it describes as "deteriorating economic conditions."
The company says all four locations in Ohio are among the retail locations that will closed. The locations of Z. Gallerie include: Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, Crocker Park in Westlake, Easton Town Center in Columbus and Rockwood Commons in Norwood.
In addition to closing stores, the company says it will consolidate its distribution network in an overall effort to reduce costs and increase operating efficiency.
The company says it has already notified the approximately 350 employees impacted by the move.
The stores scheduled to close began holding merchandise sales February 18.
Z. Gallerie says it will continue to operate 52 stores nationwide as well as it website for customers.
The company describes itself as a unique lifestyle retailer that offers furnishings and decorative accessories for the home. It was founded in 1979 by a family as a small poster shop in Sherman Oaks, California.
