It's "Staycation Week"  on Channel 3 News Today.

On Tuesday morning we told you about a unique getaway that combines the great outdoors with picture taking.

It's called the "Picture Perfect" photography workshop, and it's happening next weekend at the Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center in Sherrodsville. That's in Carroll County, about 25 miles southeast of Canton, and approximately one and a half hours from Cleveland.

This workshop is designed for both beginning and intermediate photographers, with digital or film cameras. A local photographer will teach you some new techniques for snapping pictures outdoors.

The actual workshop will kick off Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. with an instruction session on scenic photography.

You'll then get a chance to explore the Atwood region and start snapping some shots. Later there will be a photo critique.

If you want to make a weekend out of it, the 2-night package deal starts at $210 per person, based on double occupancy, or $330 per person, based on single occupancy.

Besides the photography workshop, the getaway includes overnight accommodations Friday and Saturday, and full use of Atwood Lake Resort facilities.

The fee for those who attend only the workshop is $70 per person.
