Brunswick: Fire destroys seven cars, causes extensive damage

BRUNSWICK -- A working fire at the Aspen Lake Apartments over the holiday weekend enlisted seven fire departments and caused extensive damage.

Fire broke out late Sunday evening on Aspen Lake Drive.

Units from Brunswick, Brunswick Hills Township, Medina Township, Valley City, Hinckley, Medina LST, and Strongsville responded.

It took firefighters nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.

Twelve enclosed parking spaces were destroyed.

Seven vehicles were damaged or destroyed in the fire.

Two nearby apartment buildings suffered smoke and heat damage.

The damage estimate has been set at five-hundred thousand dollars.

Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries.

The fire is currently under investigation.
