UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- The goal is simple: earn a fair wage for your hard work.
It seems like a simple concept to us here in the U.S, but that's not a reality for many workers in developing countries. The Fair Trade Movement is working to change that and one local university is helping to lead the way. John Carroll University serves only fair trade coffee, tea, sugar and chocolate products. Students there also take immersion trips to places like El Salvador and Nicaragua so they can experience these lifestyles firsthand. These are just some of the reasons JCU was chosen for this year's Ohio Fair Trade Expo.
