OSHP: 1 dead after two vehicle crash in Stark County

STARK COUNTY -- A Malvern man has died after his car was broadsided in a two vehicle crash at an intersection in Stark County's Nimishillen Township.

According to the State Highway Patrol, Ronald Rembert, 54, was struck as his vehicle entered the intersection of Paris Avenue and Easton Street.

Troopers say Rembert was headed north on Paris Avenue when his car was struck by a driver headed east on Easton. Troopers say Rembert's vehicle had the right of way.

After impact the two vehicles went off the road and stopped in a field. Rembert was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital after being extracted from the vehicle. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
