
ALLIANCE -- Two women have been arrested on warrants in connection with the death of an underage drinker.
The victim, Carri Goodwin, 20, was found in the back seat of a car on February 28 on East Main Street in Alliance. The coroner determined Goodwin had died of acute alcohol intoxication and hypothermia.
Alliance Police have taken into custody Misty Goodwin, 22, and Lori Osterland, 40, on charges of involuntary manslaughter and furnishing liquor to an underage person.
According to detectives, Goodwin and Osterland allegedly furnished the alcohol that led to Carri Goodwin's death. Detectives say Goodwin and Osterland left Carri in the back seat of the car while they were inside a bar. The temperature outside was 23 degrees.
Both women are being held in the Stark County Jail.
