CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center will host a community forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 10) for people directly or indirectly impacted by the Anthony Sowell case. The forum, designed to answer questions about rape and assault, will be at the Cleveland Public Library's Mount Pleasant Branch, at 14000 Kinsman Road.

Advocates from the Center will share information about resources available to rape survivors and their loved ones.

"We recognize that the Sowell case and the corresponding media attention can have an adverse impact on all survivors of sexual violence. By hosting this forum, we hope to give survivors and their loved ones information and resources that can help them heal," said Megan O'Bryan, chief executive officer of CRCC.

CRCC operates a crisis hotline that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Community members are encouraged to call the hotline to learn about services available, ask questions or talk to someone about their experiences.

The hotline number is (216) 619-6192.

The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center is dedicated to serving survivors of sexual violence and those who support them with free comprehensive healing and advocacy services, and to creating social change in the community through education, training, and activism.
