LORAIN -- A fisherman is recovering after he fell into the chilly waters of the Black River Saturday morning.
Witnesses say they called for help after they saw Albert Radawiek, 81, fall into the water and heard his screams for help.
According to the Coast Guard, when they arrived on the scene, Lorain Police Officer Michael Hendershot had already begun pulling the man from the water.
Radawiek was in the water for about ten minutes and suffered a cut from the fall and lost feeling in his left arm.
He was taken to Lorain Community Hospital, where he was treated for hypothermia and released.
Radawiek was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident.
