RAVENNA -- Just about everyone would agree that the memories you make in high school are priceless.  The high school itself, however, may have a price tag.

Ravenna High School has been a staple in the community for 88 years.  But next year students, staff and all the furniture will move into a brand new building.

Although the new high school sits on ten acres and has been appraised at $1.3 million, it will be hard for some to say goodbye.

"I think just the beauty of the architecture itself. There's a lot of history in this building. A lot of people in the community have a lot of respect for the building itself," said Bill Wisniewski, Director of Business Operations for the district.

With the state money for the new school, Ravenna has not choice but to put the old building up for sale.

Although students will finish out the year in the old building, school leaders are already considering offers.

It's possible, once all is said and done, that the building will be sold in parts: the original 1921 building, the gym built in 1957, and the Whitaker Hall Extension built in 1967.
