CLEVELAND -- Even with a losing record, hours before the kickoff, the 'Browns Nation' gathered at the Muny parking lot. The specially painted vans, buses and cars crowded the parking lot, as hundreds of fans prepare for the big Monday Night Football game at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
In Canal Fulton, Mike Randall is loading up his customized trailer for his trip to Cleveland for the game. He knows that he may be sitting at the center of a storm.
Mike is also known as "DawgPound Mike." He's the fan who started the "Brownout" protest movement for Monday night's game.
"I just want fans to stay in the councourse and miss the opening kickoff," said Randall. "We need to tell the fans that you have a voice and you're not going to take this product on the field anymore."
Randall added, "We're just sending a message to the Cleveland Browns. Get this fixed or guess what? we'll be back."
Randall grabbed his trademark Dawgbone hat and said, "We're here to support this organization. We bleed orange and brown. We want people to be loud and proud. But we want the country to know that we need some changes made."
Down at the Municipal Parking lot, many fans think Randall is completely wrong.
Lisa Hayward warmed herself near a van and said, "I think it looks bad on the city. It definitely looks bad on the city."
Hayward added, "I've been a Browns fan since I was a little girl and I'd support them if they were winning or losing."
Mike Trimboli was decked out as the Cleveland Browns "Brownie the Elf" and said, "I know Mike personally but I'm against it. I like a lot of what he has to say and is trying to do but I'm against it. I'm going to support my team and I'm going to be in there early."
Giovanni Gibini held up a sign that said, "DawgPound Mike Sucks" as he walked around the parking lot.
Gibini said, "Randall is a publicity hound. These super fans, give me a break.
Gibini added, "We're usually late going into the games, but we'll be there early just because we disagree with him."
