Vermilion: Coroner rules man's death a 'homicide'

VERMILION -- Lorain County Coroner Dr. Paul Matus tells Channel 3 News that Jeremy Simko, owner of a local tree service who was found dead in his North Rideg Road home early Wednesday, was a homicide victim, as he died from multiple gunshots.

Vermilion police received a call from Simko's wife just after 6 a.m. Wednesday, stating that there had been a shooting.

Simko was pronounced dead at the scene.
