CLEVELAND -- It's one of the greatest rivalries in college football history. Today is the 106th meeting between Ohio State and Michigan.
Fans have been gearing up for this game all season, not just here, but also in Baghdad.
Soldiers with the 16th Engineer Brigade, encompassing both the Ohio Army National Guard's 1192nd Engineer Company, based in Newton Falls, Ohio, and the Michigan Army National Guard's 1434th Engineer Company, will be cheering on their favorite team from Camp Liberty in Baghdad, Iraq.
The companies work closely in the same battalion, but normal teamwork and camaraderie will be set aside today. The trash talk between Ohio State fans and Michigan fans has already began.
Today on Channel 3 News Today Weekend, Kim Wheeler spoke to Major Sean Kelleher and Staff Sergeant Joshua Lenhart live via satellite from Baghdad.
Major Kelleher grew up in Ohio but his family was die hard Michigan fans. Even though his daughter now goes to Ohio State, he is sticking with his allegiance to the Wolverines.
Staff Sergeant Lenhart is from Akron and thinks the Buckeyes will win it all.
