BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- A school at Indiana University is honoring a major donor from Ohio.

The university?s School of Music will now be known as the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, as a thank you for a $40 million gift from Barbara Jacobs. She?s the widow of Cleveland real estate developer David Jacobs.

Both David and Barbara Jacobs graduated from Indiana University in the 1940s. Their three children also attended the school.

David Jacobs and his brother developed real estate and shopping malls and owned the Cleveland Indians.

School officials say $30 million of the gift will be used for music scholarships.
