PHOENIX (AP) -- LeBron James is going to the Olympics.
The head of USA basketball said last night that the Cleveland Cavaliers star has committed to playing for the U.S. team at this year's world championship and the 2008 Olympics.
Managing Director Jerry Colangelo says James sees the 2008 games as a way to make up for a bad experience in Athens.
James was part of the U.S. team that struggled to win a bronze medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004.
He played in eight games, averaging 5.4 points and 11.4 minutes per contest.
