CINCINNATI (AP) -- Federal authorities say identity thieves used a Hamilton County Web site to steal the personal data of hundreds of Ohio residents.

More than a million Hamilton County clerk of court documents were posted on the site. Among them were tax documents, medical records, bank account numbers and Social Security numbers related to various court matters. The county has since restricted Internet access to the documents.

A federal grand jury in Cincinnati issued an indictment regarding the theft ring on February 15th. Seven of eight people accused have been arrested.

Officials say they delayed disclosing the indictment to give authorities time to locate suspects.

Investigators say the ring used stolen identities in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia and Tennessee.
