WESTLAKE -- Police are on high alert in Westlake after a Brazilian au pair said she was carjacked, raped and dumped.

The woman said she was attacked in a parking lot near the Promenade shopping plaza.

The drama unfolded minutes after midnight.

The au pair, caring for triplets at a Westlake home, returned Wednesday morning with a startling story.

Her employer would not talk, but the victim told police she was abducted from the northeast parking lot of the Promenade in Westlake.

The victim told police that she was approached from behind before she got in her car. She was forced at gunpoint into the passenger side of the vehicle then driven four hours that she was beaten that she was raped and eventually put in the trunk.

The suspect is described as:

  • White male
  • In his 30s
  • clean shaven
  • rough cut, stringy brown hair

The suspect dropped the victim just two blocks from her home at a wooded lot next to the house of Cleveland Browns player Ryan Tucker.

His wife, Carla called 911.

"At my house there is a young lady who just rang our door bell saying somebody forced her in the woods next to our home,? she told the 911 operator.

Off camera, the Tuckers say the girl was soaking wet, muddy and hysterical.

Westlake Police say it just goes to show such crimes aren't exclusive to the inner city.

?Crime takes place everywhere,? Westlake Police Captain Guy Turner said. ?It can happen in your front yard, it can happen in my backyard, it can happen in a public place.? Cleveland Police spotted the suspect?s car in Slavic Village around 2:30 Wednesday morning.

The officer even checked out the license plate but that was three hours before the crime was reported.

Cops want that car:

  • 1999 Honda Civic
  • Ohio license plate DNG9567
  • silver in color
  • 4 door

The shopping center?s management turned those security tapes over to police Wednesday morning.

The marketing director said that if that crime was committed in this lot it is on that tape.

If you have any information on the suspect or the car, please call the Westlake Police at 440-871-3311.
