
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Two colleges in northeast Ohio that cater to the artistically and musically inclined have landed construction grants.
The George Gund Foundation of Cleveland will give $3.5 million over five or six years to the Cleveland Institute of Art. The school is split between two locations at University Circle and will use the money to plan a unified campus.
And the Kulas Foundation of Cleveland has awarded Oberlin College $750,000 toward a new $12 million home for its jazz studies program.
