CLEVELAND -- Daniel "Boobie" Gibson's t-shirt is a fan favorite

Daniel Gibson has emerged from rookie obscurity to the bright lights of Cavs star power.

In game Six of the Eastern Conference Finals, his 3 pointers from the perimeter took the rookie nicknamed "Boobie" right into the Cavalier history books.

Cavaliers fan, Rufus Darkortey, said "we can't take anything away from LeBron, but "Boobie" was the 'X' factor in the game. Gibson was the wow factor, too."

Jessica Gillespie from Lorain said that "LeBron was big, but "Boobie" was bigger. Oh my. I can't believe I said that. Ha!"

There's even a new "Boobie Fever" song on the radio featured on Q104's Wilde and Fee Show. Set to the disco tune of "Boogie Fever" it says "he's the talk of the town".

The new "Shoot Boobie Shoot" T-shirt is such a hot commodity that Kiwi Printing in Twinsburg can't make them fast enough. Distributors and store managers have been waiting in line at the company's back door for every shipment.

Kiwi owner, Mark Candle said, "this kid is going to be a super hero. That's my prediction."

Cav fans already know how Daniel Gibson got the unusual nickname. Said Megan Reising from Avon, "his mom called him "Boobie" because he got beat up when he was little and she was like "poor baby-boobie".

The rookie at the center of the fan frenzy just smiles when he hears about his new found fame.

Daniel Gibson told Channel 3's Mike O'Mara, "I'm just going to go out there and continue to have fun and continue to play hard."

Kiwi Printing has already run off six thousand "Shoot Boobie Shoot" shirts. Every one was shipped out immediately. Now the company is waiting for a new shipment of blue shirts so they can print off thousands more.

But not every fan is willing to wear the new shirt. Chris Patterson said that his "wife would be upset if I wore that shirt. It's not politically correct."

But Melissa Biacsi said she can't wait to wear her special Daniel Gibson shirt. "Shoot Boobie Shoot, ha, I love saying that!"

The special blue shirt is certainly red hot in Cleveland.
