CLEVELAND -- If you grew up in Cleveland, you knew the Hinckley Buzzards and the W-M-M-S Buzzard!

W-M-M-S re-shaped Cleveland radio into the powerhouse it was in the 1970's and 1980's and put the wheels in motion for Cleveland's reign as "Rock and Roll Capital of the World!"

One man who played a huge role in making "The Buzzard" an institution was Cleveland Rock radio veteran, John Gorman.

Gorman unveiled his new book, 'The Buzzard,' Thursday night at a gathering of radio mover-and-shakers such as Jane Scott and Daffy Dan, former W-M-M-S personalities and employees, and Cleveland Music Industry insiders.

This book is said to be "the first book by a former W-M-M-S insider to chronicle the station's heyday."
