SAN FRANCISCO -- Today's Olympic torch run through San Francisco scheduled for 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time won't just draw demonstrators angry about China's human rights record.
Other activists are expected, including nudists who want a return to the way the ancient Greek games were played.
Security is being tightened for the flame's only U.S. appearance following turmoil during stops this week in London and Paris.
The flame will be protected in the streets of San Francisco by a squad of Chinese security officers known as "flame attendants" recruited from China's internal security force.
Folks who dealt with them during runs in London and Paris this week say they are very aggressive. One British broadcaster says they were barking orders.
One London Olympics official sums them up as "thugs."
