CLEVELAND -- A nurse in Ohio has sued celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, saying she was fired from her job at a senior living center after the gossip maven posted an e-mail she sent him that contained gay slurs.

Diane Wargo says Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, posted her full name and e-mail address along with her message on Dec. 27. She and her former employer, Menorah Park in suburban Cleveland, began receiving threatening e-mails.

Her attorney, Brian Spitz, says she lost her job later that day. A message seeking comment from Menorah Park was not immediately returned.

Lavandeira's attorney, Bryan Freedman, says the lawsuit has no merit. Freedman says anyone who sends an e-mail to perezhilton.com does not have an expectation of privacy rights.

Wargo filed the lawsuit Monday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
