The American Red Cross is offering an easy way for you to help the victims of Sandy. You can text "redcross" to 90999 and you can donate $10 dollars to the campaign. The donation will then appear on your next phone bill.
The same is true for the Salvation Army. Text "storm" to 80888 to donate $10. A confirmation message will prompt you to approve the donation.
Catholic Charities is also collecting for Sandy victims, but asking you donate through their national website, which you can reach by clicking here.
Economic analysts were all excited that consumer spending was up, especially for the holidays. But Superstorm Sandy may have dampened their hopes. Many people bought extra batteries, flashlights, maybe even a generator. Now retailers are worried that consumers are tapped out. And these few weeks are critical, when most stores make up to 40 percent of their annual sales.
Out in stores Friday, the iPad Mini! There were about 300 people camped out in Tokyo to get the new device. But other cities in the world, critics say the lines were, well, mini. The iPad Mini is two thirds the size of an iPad, but slightly larger than other tablets.
